Zombie movie formula
This is indeed the formula for most zombie movies. What we need is something new, something that maybe humanizes the zombies a bit. How about this: zombies are just the result of a genetic mutation due to all the toxins and chemicals in our everyday pharmaceuticals and hygiene products. The zombies prey on other humans not because they’re “hungry for brains” or whatever, but because they’re jealous of what the normals have. After a while, a cease-fire is reached, and the zombies are given low-cost housing and free health care. The normals are tolerant of their new sub-intelligent brethren but still remain weary of them. Then, one day, a super-intelligent zombie comes forward to vie as president, offering more benefits to zombies and humans alike. And so forth. What, too on the nose?
